Hungarian /teːr/, said like "tair." It means space.
An AI thinking partner for decision-makers. The space to think, explore and reframe.
Think. Explore. Reframe.
The name comes from the Hungarian word for space. Think, explore, reframe is roughly what it does to you.
01 HOW IT THINKS
We get the proportions wrong. The biggest decisions of our week get five minutes of gut feel and whatever happens to be loudest in our head. The smallest ones get five hours of circular worry.
The size of our thinking rarely matches the size of the decision.
Tér starts there. You bring a decision. Tér helps you tell, quickly, how big it actually is, and then helps you think about it accordingly. For the small calls, it cuts the noise. For the big ones, it walks you through a structured process where you do not need to remember any methodology or do any math. You just answer good questions, and the structure does the rest.
That alone changes how a week feels.
But it turns out the same thinking partner that helps you make a decision can also help you grow. Underneath Tér is a developmental coaching engine, built on three decades of practice in the constructive-developmental tradition. So when you are ready, Tér opens a different door: longer arcs, structured journeys, the deeper questions you keep ending up inside. Same engine, different conversation.
02 WHAT IT IS NOT
It does not give advice. It does not produce pros-and-cons lists. It asks the questions a good coach would ask, in the moment you actually need them.
03 THE OBVIOUS QUESTION
Partly true, and worth saying out loud. A well-written prompt will get you a decent conversation with any general model. We have tried it. It works, once, and then it drifts back into doing the work for you.
That drift is the whole point. Every general AI tool is built to take the thinking off your hands, which is exactly what you want when you are writing a summary or a first draft. It is exactly what you do not want when the thing you are deciding will still matter in three years.
General AI is built to think instead of you. Tér is built so that you think better.
Which is also why Tér holds up over months rather than one clever session. It keeps the structure when the conversation gets long, judges how seriously your problem deserves to be taken, and notices when this is the third time this quarter you have circled the same conversation you keep not having.
04 TWO DOORS. SAME ENGINE.
A decision in front of you, walked through with the depth it actually deserves. Tér helps you separate the small from the large, surfaces the assumptions and emotional noise distorting your thinking, and walks you through a structured process when the stakes are high enough to need one.
Longer arcs for the questions that do not have a single answer. Identity. Leadership. The patterns you keep ending up inside. Multi-session journeys with the kind of conversation, reflection, and follow-through a good coach insists on.
And here is where it gets interesting. The two sides talk to each other. The decisions you bring this week show up as patterns across the conversations you had last month. Tér sees them. Tér points them out. Most thinking partners help you with what is in front of you. Tér also gives you back something you would not have noticed yourself.
05 WHAT EARLY USERS SAY
The conclusions were deep and convincing enough to be taken seriously, and concrete enough to build an action plan on. Tér answers exactly the problem that matters most right now: it deepens a leader's thinking rather than replacing it.
Hilbert Attila · VP Global Human Resources, Danone
I work a lot with your tool now, and I like it very much. The results are far better than the answers I get from Copilot.
Peter Mohnen · Chief Executive Officer, Messer
I cried. I want to print out the conversation and stick it on my office wall.
Quynh Dang · Managing Director, SAF Vietnam
06 WHAT IT IS BUILT ON
Tér is built on constructive-developmental theory, the body of adult development research associated with Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey at Harvard. Its founder trained with both of them over a two-year coach certification, and has spent three decades using the method in rooms with senior leaders.
You will not see any of this inside the app. No framework names, no levels, no diagrams, no theory homework. Just a conversation that seems to know how seriously to take your problem. That is the whole design principle, and it is the part that is hard to copy.
Hungarian executive coach and corporate trainer, based in Ho Chi Minh City. Thirty years with senior leaders across Europe and Asia, at Heineken, Shell, General Motors and RMIT Vietnam. He built Tér because the question he kept hearing in coaching rooms, "how do I think about this properly," rarely arrives at a convenient hour.

09 LET'S TALK
Tér is finding its first users by hand, one good conversation at a time. If something here landed with you, we would be glad to talk with you about it.
